Memory Muncher

You ever want to do something stupid like chew lots of RAM on your system for the fun of it? Well now you can! (Yes it is a stupid tool but hey why not...)

Memory Muncher is a simple GUI based application (screen shot) that you can use to stress the VM system on Mac OS X (10.2 or later). It also gives you a quick listing of swaps and memory stats.

The source is included. It shows a couple of usage models for NSTasks, use of secondary threads, the simplest way of updating the GUI from a background thread and how to be a good hidden application. A future version will likely be switched to use the new controller layer provided by Mac OS X 10.3 and later
