*B Saada Captain Jamalla LA CG87 (VVE)
Dam:  Saada Snickerdoodle (Nubian)
                  Saada Cookie Doe

Snickers had triplets for her second freshening - but the buckling was born very weak, not breathing, and died a couple of days later.

Snicker's kids are very, very nice - they're both smooth, wide, and have escutcheons you could drive a truck through.  I look forward to seeing these doelings grow!

Blue Oak's Madison, doeling

Blue Moon Ranch Gidget 1*P (2nd Gen)

Meridian gave me twin doelings this year, apparently to make up for the bucks from last year!

Their dam Meridian has 2 CH legs, and I fully expect her to finish that Championship.  Her udder is even better this year.  Both of these little girls are registerable American by parentage.

                Dream Weaver's Cessna (2nd Gen)

Crashy also gave me twin does - so cute!  Though Spirit has an unusual curly coat, her structure is really nice - wide open escutcheon and smooth, long wide body.  River Rocks, aka Roxy (or Box of Rocks) has very nice chest depth and her rump is flat and wide.  Both really nice kids!

Roxy from the side - very flashy, and what a sweet girl!

Blue Oak's???

                  ARMCH Rosasharn's Guadalupe Moteada 3*D 'E'

                  *B Jacob's Pride Rock It Man (84 +VV)
Dam:  Jacob's Pride Simply Sapphire (Nubian)
                  Jacob's Pride Rock Gem (85 +VVV)

Now here's a weird one - one litter with two sires!  Sapphire is incredibly difficult to catch in heat, and DJ is too short to reach on his own.  So, I had thought I had missed Sapphire's heat and she wouldn't cooperate on the breeding deck for DJ, so I tossed her in the pen with Rohan.  She came into a standing heat the next day and was then bred to DJ.

The result was two different sires!  I am positive of the parentage, based on the very different conformation of the two - this little boy has DJ's smoother body, wider loin, and flatter rump, with the unmistakable Nigerian influence in the breed character.  He even has his daddy's spots!

Blue Oak's???

This boy is available as an intact buckling or as a wether.  He would be, though, a great herdsire to cross onto standard Nubians without getting too much height!  His breed character is really excellent for a 50/50 1st gen.  If I weren't already keeping the buckling from Steady, I'd be keeping this boy.   He has his mom's super tight  shoulders and gorgeous leg set.  He should be stacked for milk production as well!

What a beautiful head on this girl!

Gidget X Rohan, 3rd gen Mini Nubians

10/30/07

Gidgies babies, about an hour old

Echo Hill's King Othello (4th Gen)

Sire:  *B Echo Hill's King Rohan (2nd Gen)

Hackman Farms Lady Olivia 1*P  (1st Gen)

Blue Moon Ranch Harlequin  (2nd Gen)

Dam:  Blue Moon Ranch Gidget 1*P (2nd Gen)

Blue Moon Ranch Faith (75/25 1st Gen)

I normally wouldn't breed a doe to kid twice in one year, but Gidget had other plans (grin).   She gave me triplets again, two does and a buck!  They are just gorgeous, flashy, well put together kids.

Hope to have better photos soon!

The flashy boy and one of his sisters

The boy is the one with the spots and the dark ears, the other two buckskin marked babies are his sisters.

The buckling was sold (Thanks, Kathy!)  and the two girls are retained.  As Rohan has been sold, I really want to see how these two develop!
