Tahira is a pretty girl who looks a bit more like her dad than her mom in build. I would like Gidget's smoother body, but we'll see how her kids do.
Tahira kidded with a gorgeous single buckling, and oh boy is he big! Tahira has a very nice udder with just perfect sized teats - imagine, a first freshener that's easy to milk! She is such a sweet girl, too.

Echo is the spitting image of Apache, her grandmother. I had sold Apache, who was subsequently lost to pregnancy toxemia, so I was smitten at once when Echo was born. I'm hoping for a duplicate of her mother's and grandmother's udders and production! She is smooth and long-bodied, and has that fabulous width from nose to tail. She is, though, difficult to photograph and I hope I can get some better pics soon.

Indigo's breed character is better than I could have hoped for, being a 75/25 1st gen. She is long and dairy, with a strong topline. Her rump is shorter and steeper than I care for, but being bred to Karma should help with that. Her pedigree is stacked for milk, and I'm hoping she lives up to it.

Sahara was one of my best doelings for 2008. Unfortunately, she disappeared without a trace during our fire evacuation for the Gap Fire that started several miles above the ranch. I was just devastated, especially since I had sold Snickers, her granddam, earlier, and Snickers' 2008 doeling, Treasure, was having problems with floppy kid syndrome. I can only think she was coyote chow within hours on that dark, smoky, flying-ember filled night, amidst the confusing melee of horses and trailers and people. I will miss you, Sahara.

Treasure is truly a treasure, as she has it all - looks, breed character, and a stellar milk pedigree. It's also a miracle she's made it this far - if there was ever a goat with a death wish, she's it. She had a bout of floppy kid syndrome at a few days of age, and has gotten into the avocado trees. With all the problems she's had, I decided to hold off on breeding her for 2009 kids, although I pray I can keep her from committing suicide before I can get kids from her!
